This Privacy Policy explains how Datka collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit datka.io. We are an early-stage company and keep the data we collect to a minimum.

Who we are

Datka provides competitive, market, and price intelligence as a service. This policy covers the datka.io marketing website. The data controller is Datka LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (file no. 10666902). You can contact us by email at [email protected] or by mail at 1007 N. What data we collect

We collect two kinds of data:

• Information you provide: when you use the contact form (your name, email address, message, and any target website URLs you share) or the live chat, we receive what you send us.
• Information collected automatically: if you accept analytics cookies, we collect pseudonymous data about how you use the site. Our hosting provider also processes basic technical data such as IP address and browser type in server logs to operate and secure the site.

Analytics and session analytics

With your consent, we use two analytics tools. Neither sets cookies or records analytics data until you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner.

• Google Analytics 4: aggregated statistics about site usage such as pages viewed, approximate location, and device type. Google acts as a data processor. Google Consent Mode is enabled, so no analytics storage is used until you opt in.
• Microsoft Clarity: we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site through aggregated metrics, heatmaps, and session replay (mouse movement, scrolls, clicks). Text entered into form fields is masked by default and is not captured. Microsoft acts as a data processor for this purpose. Clarity loads only after you accept analytics cookies.

How we use your data

• To respond to your enquiries and, if you request one, to prepare a free data assessment.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the website.
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse, such as spam protection on the contact form.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, each acting as a data processor:

• Google — website analytics (Google Analytics 4).
• Microsoft — session analytics (Clarity).
• Tawk.to — live chat.
• Cloudflare — website hosting and bot / spam protection, including the contact-form challenge.
• SMTP2GO — delivery of contact-form emails to us.
• Sanity — content management (does not receive visitor data).

International data transfers

Some of these providers process data in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (for certified providers) and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Legal basis (GDPR)

• Consent — for analytics and session-replay cookies (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity).
• Legitimate interests — for operating and securing the site and responding to messages you send us.

Data retention

We keep contact-form and chat messages only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's standard settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You can change or withdraw cookie consent using the cookie settings on the site. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in the EU, this is the authority in your country of residence or work.
